Keyboard Wizard
A rock keyboard groove generator to help practice syncopated keyboard rhythms.
Today's Groove
How to use
Keyboard Wizard generates rock grooves, combining a syncopated pattern for the right hand with a classic bass pattern for the left. The patterns are random, so once you navigate away or generate a new pattern they are gone forever (other than the daily pattern, which sticks around until midnight UTC)!
- Practice each pattern with the left and right hand
- Use a drum machine, drum backing track, or metronome
- Identify where each note falls relative to a typical rock drum rhythm (i.e., bass drum on 1 & 3, snare on 2 & 4)
- Once comfortable with both patterns individually, play with both hands
- Start at a slow tempo (60-80 bpm) and work your way up to faster tempos (120+ bpm)
