A rock keyboard groove generator to help practice.

Keyboard Wizard generates rock grooves, combining a syncopated pattern for the right hand with a classic bass pattern for the left.

Practice each pattern with both the left hand and right hand, using either a metronome or a drum machine to keep time. A drum machine with a kick on the 1 and 3 beats and a snare on 2 and 4 will help translate into live playing.

As you play, meditate on where each note falls in relation to the kick or snare.

Once you are ready, begin playing both lines together slowly, again with a metronome or drum machine. Pick up the tempo each time, starting from around 60 bpm and ending around 120 bpm.
